The first article I chose to read was,
Why Rejection Hurts So Much. This article was interesting because it discussed scientifically why it hurts to get rejected. I understand that rejection induces self-inflicted pain and the theory as to why this developed was very interesting. The second article I chose to read was
Seven Ways to Crush Self-Doubt. Self-doubt is something I struggle with everyday, and it's nice to see that other people share my struggle. The author of the second article views self-doubt as a natural part of the process and a sign that you deeply care about whatever it is you are doubting yourself in. Both articles listed ways in which one could grow themselves in a healthy manner, but I find it difficult to read something and implement it in your life. I find myself often reading articles and thinking to myself that something is a good idea; however, I rarely finding myself putting those good ideas into practice.
Feedback is something that is very pertinent in my life because of my involvement in coaching. I give feedback to my players nearly everyday and the manner in which I give them feedback is extremely important. I also have to make sure that each of my players have a growth mindset so that they may take the feedback and grow rather than use it to put down themselves.
